Branson MO living
Branson MO is set in the middle of the Ozark plateau, Branson has what few cities have with beautiful scenery abundance of trees, creeks, lakes and huge rock lined streets. No reason it's a tourist town. But that's where Branson downfall comes in. The employment is based on tourism and its so called music shows. Which means you either work in hospitality in motels or restaurants. Not much else. There are a lot of people who come here to find work in the summer and get stuck in poverty living in motels as winter time is a ghost town and attractions are closed. January to may is the down time. June is when it starts to pick back up as family's come here for summer vacation. There have been tons of businesses, hotels and restaurants close up here. Which has caused a huge increase in property crime. On the good side Branson has many great things about it. For a city this size you have quite a bit of attractions and restaurants. Shopping is pretty good with the Branson landing, tanger outlet mall, and Branson hills which has your big box stores. Best Buy, target, Home Depot, etc. Groceries are high and taxed. We have 2 wal marts one of them a super center. If need be more options are 35 to 40 minutes away in Springfield MO. I'd recommend Branson but the City Council and mayor that lead this town are draining every penny they can get out of the citizens and visitors. If you plan on moving here make sure you do your research first.
