Great place to live, if you are retired. This is not a great place if you are young with a family, and are a renter. Lots of younger residences are forced to live in weekly motels and dilapidated rentals in the older part of town. If you get lucky and find a house to rent, you ar ...Read More
e at risk of being evicted once the owner kicks the bucket or just decides to sell It's bad unless you belong to the local cult this is not a friendly or welcoming place. There is only one grocery store in town, and it is packed and overpriced. Crime is not bad, its a safe place but does have a high amount of sex offenders, but most seem to live in the older part of town and in the weekly motels. The weather is harsh here in the summer, windy, and hot. It can even get humid, . The utilities used to be low here but that changed over the last 10-15 years now its pretty spendy. Make sure you buy if you move here as if you rent you will always be at risk of being booted. Finally, the town is loaded with Trumpsters, and Democrats are not welcome. This is surprising since the town has a heavy Mormon population. In short nice place to visit or retire to.

This is a place that is 40 years behind in the times.
Albertsons and CVS are so expensive!
All the stores are so old, they need to knock the town down and rebuild. There are many drug addicts and robberies in this town, that no one speaks about but is very evident. Why isn't anyo ...Read More
ne trying to build the place up, lower prices and put another grocery store in Boulder. The restaurants are herendous, infestations of roaches and rats. Gas prices are incredibly high. The public pool is in need of money to build the place up for the town. The manager in the 99 cent store is rude and the place at this time is not sanitizing the credit and debit card machines. It also had an infestation of rodents.

e city. The best places in Boulder City include the Historic Railroad Hiking Trail and Lake Mead. There are many opportunities for adventure here, including kayaking and mine tours. Looking for antiques in the small stores that line the streets is another wonderful pastime.
Boulder City is a close nit community. Although sometimes the city felt too small, I was only about a 25-mile drive to Las Vegas, increasing the nightlife exponentially! There are many small restaurants in Boulder City. The weather can get hot, especially in the middle of summer. During this season, it is best to try to stay indoors, where the air conditioning systems work hard to keep us cool, or at least stay by the water!
