The only thing separating Bellview from Alabama is the Perdido Bay, that is how far in the northeast corner of Florida my little city sits. Living in Bellview gives you the real sense of what it would be like to retire, regardless your age. I have a bay on each side of my town, then the barrier islands and the Gulf of Mexico to my south.
The best areas in Bellview are certainly outdoor related, especially if you like doing things in or around the water. Since we are so off the beaten path, you rarely have the crazy tourist seasons like in Tampa, Orlando, and Daytona Beach.
The shopping runs from high-end shops near the beaches to outlet malls along Interstate 10. I can not rave enough about the food in this region. If you love shellfish, you will have your choice of endless fresh selections in all the local restaurants. We also have a great museum, golf courses, and even birding trails.
