Bellafontaine Neighbors, MO 2 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) Living in Bellafontaine Neighbors, MO is a neighborhood I would not recommend to the faint at heart. Located only 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis you have the luxury of experiencing city life whenever you wish and price of living is extremely affordable. Unfortunately, the cit ...Read More y suffers from extremely high crime rates. It was found that the violent crime rate is one of the highest in the nation.

The one good thing about Bellafontaine Neighbors is its proximity to St. Louis, you have the opportunity to live affordably while also working and hanging out downtown. The city has easy access to the metro highway network, so if you want to hang out by the Gateway Arch or check out a baseball game at Busch Stadium, you can do so with ease.

The city is making necessary changes for growth and opportunity for its patrons, cracking down on the crime while also building up. You will see where some areas are beginning to be gentrified. Still, I would be careful and do your due diligence before relocating here especially if you have young children. Read Less
