Our school system ranks near last in state education, and we’re already dead last in state rankings for public education 50/50. No opportunity in Belen. Where do these yahoos het their numbers?? 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Nov 14, 2018) These numbers are so far off I have no idea where area vibe comes up with this garbage. The administration before this one brought in over 200 great jobs to the Belen area. Yet it shows F in employment, crime, housing...seriously??!! What is wrong with these people??!! Where do ...Read More they get these numbers from??? They also brought in Westway homes and existing homes are quite reasonable. Schools could use a little work but they are great schools with excellent private schools. So when you look at these numbers please look at them and question this...Really a place with no murders and rapes is violent?? Really!!?? This really irks me!!!! We are so close to Albuquerque for shopping and nightlife and yet we are still a small town where everybody knows your name!!! Read Less

Belen is nice and quiet with less traffic than Los Lunas where it can take awhile to get across town. We have 3 exits to I-25 which makes it easy for commuting to anywhere in the state and we also have the train to Santa ...Read More Fe. I can't say we are perfect... but there are not murders and rapes like other towns that are around us. Yes, your garden Nome might be taken and then again it might not, but you will live to see another day!!! If you love small town living at its best than this is your town. I totally disagree with the grades that are given by people that have never ever been here!!!!!! Read Less
