Great place to live User Rating 5 rating By Anonymous ( Dec 05, 2018) I along with my wife and child recently moved to Bel Air from Cleveland Ohio and it has been the best move ever. I cant say enough about living here. The people here are very friendly, we met alot of new people at the Main Street Christmas parade in downtown. There are numerous a ...Read More mounts of restaurants, throughout Bel Air and alot places to shop on the Baltimore Pike strip, Harford mall is also located there as well. Im also very satisfied with the school my son attends as it is a A rated school. The schools in Bel Air are top noched. There also seems to be very little crime here as I typically walk the dog in our neighborhood at night and feel very safe. The communities are family oriented with middle class working people and clean well kept neighborhoods. The only negative I can say is that the traffic heading south towards downtown Baltimore can be pretty hetic as i commute there for 3x a week for work but thats to be expected being up north. I know there are trains that go to Downtown Baltimore but I haven't rode them yet being that the train station is about 20 mins away. The located of Bel air is also great because you're pretty much in the middle between city life of Baltimore and Philadelphia which is about 1hr and a half away. Otherwise Bel Air is great and I would recommend it to people looking to raise a family in the Northern Maryland area... Read Less
Bel Air For The Small Towner User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) I like the feel of Bel Air, stores and restaurants are accessible, the people are friendly and always willing to help someone in need, and it’s a suburban fit for raising a family. There are also a few grocery stores and shopping centers in the area, so it’s no slash required ...Read More to go into the city.

On the other de of WaWa and Buffalo Wild Wings, everything tends to close at 9:30. After first moving here, I found it difficult to get used to, but after some time, I learned to stay stocked. That is, unless a quick run to WaWa did the trick.

There isn’t much to do in town however, very few bars, or places to go out and enjoy music and light dancing. In order to satisfy that need, it would be best to go into Baltimore.

I do love Bel Air for its small town living, and the life I’ve enjoyed outside of the city, but it may not be for everyone. Read Less
