After living in Asheboro for five years now, I have realized that it's one of the quietest towns I have lived in and don't plan to move anytime soon. There aren't many large neighborhoods in the city. It's a fairly rural area and often a bypass for people who are trying to get to the coast and back. The city does feature small shopping centers and smaller restaurants compared to larger cities. However, you will find some of the more popular businesses as well, such as Golden Corral, Burger King, and McDonald's.
One of the things that I enjoy about living in Asheboro is the NC Zoo. This is one of the largest attractions in the state. It's a joy to live near the zoo because I can get an annual pass each year that allows me to go whenever I want without paying the ticket prices. I can also attend the special events that the zoo offers each year, such as the Easter Eggstravaganza and Boo At The Zoo.
