Mountain Beauty and Modern Comfort - Arvada, CO
My wife and I stopped in Arvada Colorado last year, and had the opportunity to spend a little time there. Arvada is nestled at the foot of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Be sure to plan on being there before dark to see the beautiful mountain sunset. Being a history lover I was excited to visit the historic downtown area, and to learn that Arvada was the first place in Colorado to have gold discovered. The find was on Ralston Creek, where a spot of land has been set aside to honor the discovery.

This is by no means a gold rush town. The city of Arvada is a modern city, with all the luxuries you would expect to find in such a place. Arvada hosts attractions and festivals all year long, with themes ranging from chocolate to scare crows. Arvada also houses over 125 mile of bicycle and walking trails. These trails connect with others that can take you west to the Rocky Mountains or east to Denver.

Located in the midst of several major highways and right on the Amtrak rails makes the city more than convenient to stop in. I promise you won't be disappointed with your stay in Arvada.
