Apple Valley, MN - A Great Place To Live 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Aug 22, 2012) I resided in Apple Valley Minnesota for about a year. While I was there I found plenty to do. It is a great place to live and raise children. I wouldn't have left if it wasn't necessary for my husband's job.

When it comes to the attractions in Apple Valley there is plenty to do. ...Read More It can be hard to find great things to do with children but this place has many. One great attraction is the zoo. You can spend all day just simply enjoying the exotic animals. There are also many educational museums to check out in Apple Valley. These are not only educational but tons of fun for the whole family. The local IMAX Theater is also a great place to get away to. They play several different 3D films that will show anybody a good time! The community in Apple Valley was very involved. There were many community yard sales and fundraisers. The neighborhood tries to do everything as a community effort. When it comes time to get a bit to eat there are plenty of places to choose from. There are many local franchises along with many locally owned restaurants. You can enjoy foods like Mexican, Thai, and much more. You will have no problem finding a great place to dine out when going to Apple Valley. Apple Valley does not have a whole lot of nightlife. There are a few bars but nothing that really stands out. This area is more family oriented than most places. There is plenty of shopping to be accomplished in Apple Valley. You can find almost any store you are looking for. There is a mall located conveniently right in the local area. There are also several grocery and clothing stores not connected to the mall. Overall, this city is not deprived in the shopping department.

As you can see Apple Valley is a great place for families to live. If you are just driving through you should at least stop and give their local zoo a chance.
