Enjoy the Hidden Features of Alum Rock, CA This Suimmer User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) I’ve lived in Alum Rock, CA for the past 10 years. This is one of the better areas on the San Jose/Santa Clara border. I’ll start off by saying that the weather here is great. It never seems to get too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter. The feeling of Alum Rock is c ...Read More alm. It's also close to progressive cities such as Los Altos and Palo Alto.

The best areas of Alum Rock are a few minutes out of the area to Capital Ave. Capital Ave has lots of shops and grocery stores such as Safeway, Kroger and The Dollar Store. Since I’m a person that depends on public transportation to get around, I’m thankful for all the public buses, trains and shuttles that are located everywhere.

Housing cost in this area can be a little expensive, however; it’s still priced rather low from other cities through out the Bay Area such as San Francisco and Oakland. Those looking for the extreme nightlife can head to the Flamingo Club, it rocks! Read Less
