Alhambra - Centrally Located To All The Los Angeles Hot Spots User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jul 22, 2010) Each year I spend Christmas and parts of my summer in Alhambra. Alhambra borders the City of Pasadena off of Interstate 10 and is within 20 minutes of downtown Los Angeles. My mother lives in Alhambra and whenever I visit her I love eating out in the many Chinese restaurants that ...Read More are available there. This year I stayed at the Days Inn off of North 1st street which was very reasonable and had a friendly staff. The hotel was close to shopping and dining and about 2 miles north of Interstate 10.

I also love the city of Alhambra because it is centrally located to all my favorite sporting events. The Rose Bowl, The Coliseum, Dodger Stadium, and the Staple Center are all within a 30 minute drive. I am a big Dodger Fan and always take in a game with my mother. The night life is limited in Alhambra so I prefer traveling to Pasadena. Pasadena has fine some restaurants and great night clubs within a 20 minute drive from the city of Alhambra.

When I visit my mother I come on business. Alhambra is located centrally to all the major business centers of the metropolitan area of Los Angeles. This includes Orange County. Orange County business centers are about an hour by freeway depending on what time you leave and how far you have to travel. The only drawback of doing business in the Los Angeles area is dealing with the intense traffic of Los Angeles. Having lived in Los Angeles for the majority of my life you get use to waking up early to avoid the traffic.

Alhambra is not known for many activities within its borders but it redeems itself by providing a quiet place to stay while you visit the neighboring cities. Alhambra has the advantage of being close to Downtown Los Angeles where all the business centers are located. The convention center, USC, the fashion district, and the jewelry district are all located within 20 minutes of Alhambra. The Los Angeles International Airport lies within a 45 minute drive.
