La Mesa was called "The War Zone" Can I say- recommended for nobody User Rating 0.5 rating By meyati ( Dec 10, 2015) It's now called "The International Community". Houses are cheap here for a reason. I actually like some of the homeless people better than my neighbors. Corner homes are dangerous. The mailman and I actually watched a Bronco smash through the fence and make a turn to drive throu ...Read More gh the patio door. The neighbors came out with guns and started shooting at the Bronco, while we were on 911-that was 3 blocks from my house. Thanksgiving, our 2 100 lb coonhounds kept running to a window and baying. The screen was pulled out and the window was opened by 2 inches. My hounds have big teeth.

Somebody was trying to break through the front door. It's made of 2X4s. It took one hour and 14 minutes for the police to respond. We live a mile from a police station. I slept that night by the front door with my shotgun. The next day we took the door down and replaced the 2 shattered 2X4s. A friend down the street has several family members in the police force. She's called them, and they now tell her that they are busy for an uppity city festival and nobody is coming here. The city DA is against home owners with guns. So men keep baseball bats and axes to protect their families.

Somebody tried to rape a little girl in the alley behind the house. The police think they are good dogs.. The neighbor that usually complains about animals likes my hounds, they make her feel safe. Read Less
