to our unique way of life here. These stories and more await you as you encounter a diverse, passionate, and creative community called Aberdeen.
Aberdeen is surrounded by some of the best natural assets Washingtonians have come to treasure. We are a coastal community with love for our forests, beaches, mountains, and all the outdoor recreation and experiences they bring. No matter where you are coming from if you are on the highway going to the beaches chances are we will be the first city you drive into. And... we still have the scenic by-ways along the coasts for your rev'd up hot rods and classic cars to drive the roads they were designed for... of course we have a charging station for Teslas too. Bring your fishing gear too as we have some of the finest Salmon & Steelhead opportunities for that once-in-a-life-time... we of course will not tell you are secret fishing spots, but my son recently caught a 24 lb Steelie (keep that on the down-low).
in 2018 Aberdeen became the 34th City in our state to receive the designation of "Main Street". Through volunteers and partnerships, we are growing our downtown for you to sip, sup & stroll. We are a city of the past bouncing back and love our businesses here. If you are looking to start a business here, we can help you.
In 2019 Aberdeen established an Arts & Music District attracting creative types. Artists love the inspiration coming from our historic buildings to the incredulous environmental milieu encompassing them to the characters filled with "Aberdeenisms". What is that? Come find out!! If you are interested in a life that fosters "creating", well we can help you there too.
If you research Aberdeen you will find the good, the bad, they ugly- which is exactly what our Kurt Cobain's "Come As You Are" is all about. Bring you and do you here! Wait till you meet me. I will most likely sing you a song about us and tell you a jaw-dropping tale.
Aberdeen is ship in a new world, sailing along with its occupants seeing new opportunities, intense beauty, fun possibilities and experiencing poetry in motion. There is room for you here.
Where are we? We are about an hour west from our Capitol City of Olympia and a bit over 2 hours from Seattle or Portland.
I want to tell you more but we need time, call me and let's figure out how you fit here: "360.500.5334" my personal cell
Aberdeen is an experience and we are proud to be a part of it. Let us help you get busy- email me at "director@downtownaberdeen.com"

Aberdeen is a wonderful place to live. It is dramatically undervalued (but that is changing quickly) so if you'd like to live in a mild climate close to ocean beaches, the Olympics, the best cold water surfing on the West coast and endless other outdoor opportunities, this is the ...Read More
place.
There are forward-thinking entrepreneurs opening new businesses & revitalizing the downtown. The economy is transitional and folks are finally starting to realize that they have a real jewel in the rough here.
If you love architecture, venture off the main roads through town and you'll see the largest inventory of intact historic residences in the state of Washington.
You'll also find live theatre (both community and professional), outdoor concerts in the park with Shakespeare in the Park currently in the works. Several microbreweries, independent coffee shops, a winery, distillery and a growing list of restaurants.
As more folks leave the lawless nonsense of the big cities behind and make the decision to live their dream in a town where people really care about living their best life, this place will continue to revitalize, refine and re-invent itself into something amazing!
