ublic transit system is the worst. There’s only one major roadway through the city, so naviting whether by car or bus will ease the stress of city traffic in other places.
If I had kids though, I wouldn’t have chosen Pekin as the best place to raise a family. Education isn’t the best, and often when asked would recommend home schooling. The schools are beyond terrible, perhaps passable, but as tends to be the them for Pekin, they leave much to be desired.
Otherwise, I would recommend Pekin if someone spent most of their time inside, and wanted to save on everyday things like food. That’s one great things about the city, goods are often prices well, but on the same foot, for a small town it can be hard to find work.
