Safe area if you want cops harassing you 0.5 rating By WinstedMNishorrible ( Dec 04, 2012) Winsted is a dot on the map its police department boasts 2 individuals who will harass you, follow you and question you if you are out walking past 9pm. There is nothing to do in this town, a few bars but like I said the cops have nothing better to do so they watch the bars and i ...Read More f they see you drive you're pulled over, they see you walking they stop you. As far as the people in Winsted, they're fairly stuck up, wont talk to you unless you were born and raised. Trying to deal with the brainless morons at city hall is like talking to a wall, dumb!

Look to Howard Lake if you want a small town feel close to the Twin Cities, Winsted should be taken off the map. Worst place I have ever lived and I have lived all over the United States. Read Less
