I'm living in Winfield Kansas not far from my Southwestern College campus. I like where I live because I can do everything that I need to do right here in one place. I grew up here and actually attended Winfield High School. On weekends I volunteer at the Food Pantry of Winfield at the Grace United Methodist Church at the corner of College and Janes Streets.
When I'm not volunteering or in class, I'm probably studying at College Hill Coffee, my favorite little spot in town. The best area in Winfield, though, is probably the Winfield Hike and Bike Trail off Viking Boulevard and T.P. Hales Road.
Winfield isn't the place to go for big city life, but it has everything you need. There are parks, libraries, restaurants, and stores for shopping. I recommend Cupcake's Resale Clothing and Goodwill, both on 9th Avenue. Between those stores and the McDonald's on Pike Road, this broke student gets by just fine.
