Country Living in Westminster 2.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Living in Westminster was uneventful and peaceful. It's a small college town in a rural area. There isn't much of a nightlife in the town but they do have events sometimes, like jazz festivals. Many view the town as a great place to raise a family because of good schools and a sm ...Read More all town atmosphere. There is however, a lack of diversity, and some residents are very conservative.

Many residents work in town but the majority commute to neighboring towns and cities like Baltimore or Columbia. You can find some good shops and restaurants in the downtown area of Westminster. Baugher's is a favorite; their breakfast is very good. Major retailers like Sears, Walmart and Target are located in the town for your shopping needs.

The cost of living in Westminster is cheaper than living in a city area like Baltimore. There's a variety of properties and apartment communities, with a range of prices. Some of the best areas in Westminster are sites of historic homes, like the downtown area. Read Less
