stfield River. Westfield State University adds a youthful vibe to the city and there are partnerships opportunities between the town and university which could bring about more music and theater opportunities. Westfield is close to the Mass Pike and Interstate 91 which affords residents access to the Berkshires, Boston, Springfield, Worcester, Northampton, Amherst, Connecticut and New York. Overall Westfield is an enjoyable and safe family oriented city which is only getting better.

I have lived in Westfield, MA and the surrounding areas for a period of time several years ago and have nothing negative to say about Westfield. The city lies less than five miles West of Springfield, but the two cities could not be further apart in terms of livability. Springfie ...Read More
ld is known as being a very dangerous area, yet Westfield has an incredibly low crime rate and is full of middle income families that are living rather quiet lives. The majority of the jobs in the area are in Springfield, which is why it is a great idea to live in Westfield and head to Springfield for work.
Westfield is a great place to raise a family and a great place to grow up in, as there is a ton of stuff to do. If you like the outdoors, there is great fishing, as the city lies just two or three miles West of the Connecticut river, and there is also a ton of wilderness in the surround areas that are great for hunting. There is also a major theme park in the area, as Six Flags New England is only a few miles a way as well.
Keep in mind that this is a quiet area, so you are not going to find a huge night life scene, although there are still definitely bars and some nightclubs that you can go to. That being said, there are still a ton of great restaurants in the area and there are plenty of events and shows to go to in the surrounding areas of Westfield. If you find yourself living in the Springfield area or are looking to move to the general area, Westfield is a great place to consider.
