What's Old is New Again!
When I found my house right on the edge of the Old Tampa Bay, I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life here. While the tourists are packed into Clearwater and the numerous white-sand beaches up the west coast of the Sunshine State from Cedar Key to Siesta Key, I am far away in my own private piece slice of Florida paradise called Westchase.
Living in Westchase gives me the opportunity to slip into places like Tampa, Sarasota, or Saint Petersburg, when I know the coast is clear. When the tourists are in Disney, I have the whole Gulf of Mexico to myself some days. One rare treat that I get to enjoy is stopping by Tampa Bay Downs and placing a few bets on the horses. This is something I miss from living in the northeast.
The best areas in Westchase include the countless county clubs and golf courses, one more pristine and challenging than the next.
