West Pensacola offers all the conveniences of the general Pensacola area, such as the proximity to two naval bases, the beach, rivers and Escambia Bay. I love the fact that you can get very affordable houses that are well-built and attractive; however, often the housing nearby and the streets themselves are unkempt in appearance. West Pensacola is an inexpensive place to live, but it also has the same problems that many other low income areas experience.
A big plus to the area is the extensive public transit that is available, with even a bus route to Pensacola Beach. There are grocery stores close by in West Pensacola, but if you want to go to a grocery store further away, then you can always take the bus if you do not have a vehicle.
There are plenty of things to do in West Pensacola, like visiting parks and museums. And, there are all the outdoor activities associated with rivers, lakes and the ocean. Did I mention that Pensacola Beach and the adjacent and less-populated Fort Pickens beachfront park are both only minutes away? I am a big fan of the beach and enjoy living so close to great public beaches!
