The Village Of Wellington, Florida 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Mar 10, 2015) I moved from Wellington FL, the best community in South Florida, over ten years ago. There were many aspects of living in Wellington that I truly enjoyed such as numerous parks, the best school districts, exceptionally landscaped neighborhoods, and the love of horses. I also love ...Read More d that Wellington focuses on protecting the environment and waterways. There are several green policies that are in place in Wellington such as a water conservation strategy and landscaping requirements that are related to the native land. I really loved the fact that Wellington played a large role in helping commuters by reducing the amount of cars on the roadway. They implemented the Southwest Florida Commuter Assistance Program where there are suggestions for people who have to drive alone and wish to help with the environment by commuting with a group of people who are traveling to the same area.

Wellington also has a lot of recreational activities such as pristine golf courses, a lion country safari, and many parks. Wellington offers many attractions for visitors and residents of all ages. The Parks and Recreations Department in Wellington is noted to be the best across the United States. They strive to keep all of the parks and centers state of the art and up to date with the latest equipment. I really enjoyed the lion country safari and the equestrian community. The lion country safari lets visitors drive through a safari that has over 900 free roaming animals. The equestrian community is for all the horse lovers, including myself. I really enjoyed all the trails and helping to care for the horses that are boarded in the community. Read Less
