Very nice town User Rating 5 rating By Anonymous ( Oct 20, 2024) I have lived in Weatherford for 10 years. It is a really nice town to live in. Very little crime & super quiet neighborhoods. The police department response is good & they don't tolerate crime.
Shopping choices are okay, but you're only a 40 minute drive from Yukon/OKC shopp

I have lived in other towns & other states; I can honestly say Weatherford has been the best I've ever lived in.
The schools are decent, couple of them are new buildings. The high school offers a lot for their students. They even have an aviation program for students who want to learn how to fly an airplane.
Southwestern Oklahoma State University is here, so your high schooler can enroll in college for free their junior year.
I don't have any plans of ever moving, as I think I have finally found a town worthy of calling "home". Read Less

Weatherford is close to Clinton Oklahoma. The small town ranks at the top of the state for its educational initiatives and successes. The city houses Southwestern Oklahoma State ...Read More University (SWOSU) and the Western Technology Center which focuses on occupational education. There is a wealth of employment probabilities. Major companies like Kodak and Imation use the area as their headquarters. Housing is scarce here but the cost of living is above fair. The community fosters safe districts and the weather is remarkable.

Some of the best areas in Weatherford Oklahoma surround the Stafford Air & Space Museum. This area is very educational. It is a huge place that takes up about 40,000 square feet. It is always a great place to take the kids. The city hosts various community events. Neighborhoods also get together on smaller scales to hold yard sales, charity drives, and other community events. Weatherford is an awesome town to call home. Read Less
