Do not be fooled by Marketing 1 rating By jj22 ( May 06, 2016) We recently moved here from a metro area with high parent funding and support of schools, natural beauty and wealth. We thought Waunakee would be better even than this, but we have quickly learned that is it truly full of bigots, extremely weird religious viewpoints and a load o ...Read More f bourgeoisie wannabe's who think success is measured by the square footage of homes. And, forget concern for the environment, the manure sprayers are out and about right next to some of the most luxurious homes. Far worse than just a "farm" smell. The "old" Waunakee community is full of political and social backstabbing. While the educators and school system have been solid, unfortunately too much of this nasty culture permeates into the school community. While Waunakee might look "pretty" in numbers and pictures, if you are intelligent and have values outside materialism, this is one of the worst places in the country to relocate to. It's truly frightening how hateful it can get...Beware of the real hidden stenches worse than the Dairy-air in this hokey town. Read Less
