There are plenty of entertainment spots including the Meadows Racetrack and Casino which is probably the most well known to those outside of the area. Washingtons rich history i ...Read More ncludes key locations involved in the whiskey rebellion like the Bradford House. Economy wise, Washington hasn't been hit particularly hard from the recession. There are plenty of active small businesses and mom and pop stores. The fact that these small businesses continue to thrive in this time period of the Wal-Mart monopoly shows the honest caring and integrity of this areas citizens. Some places you should visit if in the area include The Lone Pine Market, Adams Pine Creek Restaurant, and Premiere Auto Sales. These are great examples of how small businesses can thrive in Washington, PA. The city is well maintained and crime is kept down in the city and its surrounding areas by local and state police who do their jobs excellently and most times don't get the credit that they deserve. I can't give anything 5 stars because there is always room for improvement but Washington, PA is a hard place to beat and no matter where I end up, it will always be my home. Read Less
