Warren, MI - What a Pleasant Surprise User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 07, 2010) I recently traveled to Warren, MI for a job interview. I was not expecting good things from the city of Warren. I was expecting it to be cold and snowy, with a bunch of people who drive GM vehicles. Surprisingly, I was wrong.

There were a lot of beautiful homes in Warren, although a lot of them were empty due to foreclosure. The recession has hit this area pretty hard. There are numerous companies that have offices in Warren. There is the General Motors Technical Center, Big Boy Restaurants International Headquarters, and The Cadillac Motor Car Division of General Motors.

I needed to use the library to do some research for my job interview and found out they have four library branches throughout the city. Although I was able to get my research done, I was a little disappointed because none of the four were located close to my hotel. I had to drive out to reach one. The drive did give me a chance to see more of Warren and I also learned that Highway 696 is smack in the middle of the city. Although I didn't get the job, I did get the chance to explore the city and wouldn't hesistate to return the explore the city even more! Read Less
