Walnut Grove, MO 0.5 rating By lia ( Mar 31, 2015) If your only requirement is affordable real estate, this is your town. You get a lot of house and real estate for your money here.

There is a school which is not highly rated. The high school's claim to fame is a great girl's basketball team. Academically, they fall short.

The town has a bank, convenience store, and a small restaurant.

There is a convenience store/gas station.

City government is a mess. It has a stray dog shooting mayor and city council members that cover for him. Visitors to city council meetings are not welcome. These people refuse any suggestions or offers of improvement from outsiders. They've turned down suggestions for public health improvements as well as offers of free help from animal rescues. They've sat on their hands while buildings rot into the ground on main street. There are no improvements of any kind going on.

Finding anyone in the area capable of providing handyman service is quite a challenge. Last people I hired turned up drunk.

I would give this town a failing grade in all areas. Avoid this town at all costs. Read Less
