Vidalia Is Beautiful Onion! User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) While a lot of Southern towns keep the comfortable aesthetic of Gregorian-style buildings stacked next to each other, Vidalia has done a lot of work to renovate the old look.

There are a few modern--even adventurous--buildings that have to exist for modern business, but the cl ...Read More assic downtown and shop row houses are still there with major repairs and updated paint jobs. There are a few buildings that still need work, but that's actually the appeal of the town!

While I move to small towns to be outside of bigger cities without all of the clutter, a lot of people try their hand at building a business in older downtown shops. It's affordable, it's a chance to work with old locations that have decent traffic access, and it's a chance to get to know your community from foot traffic.

The best areas in Vidalia are around the downtown area if you're looking for great food, or towards Lyons if you're looking for a few extra bars and clubs. Living in Vidalia puts you in a calm and comfortable part of Georgia, but if you need a bit of bit city and international exposure, Savannah is a little over 1 1/2 hours away. Read Less
