A Cozy Place to Call Home 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 26, 2018) Living in Urbandale is kind of like living in a cozy fairy tale story. The city is small enough to be cozy and inviting, but big enough to provide plenty of shopping opportunities. When I moved to Iowa, I was afraid there'd be nothing to do, but living in Urbandale, this hasn't b ...Read More een the case. The people here are kind, and there's always somewhere to go if hanging around the house gets old.

Some of the best places to eat are the Machine Shed Restaurant, a unique place with mouthwatering dishes, and the Urban Grill, the best place in town for some good steak or a rack of ribs. There are plenty of places to shop, too, whatever your hobbies are. The community here is great, and the weather isn't too terrible unless it's winter, at which time it's probably best to just hole up in your house watching movies and drinking hot chocolate in front of a roaring fire.
