property taxes are VERY high in Trumbull. It boils down to the local government of the town and their mismanagement of money. Schools are very good. (they better be for the amount of taxes you pay in this town) Great local restaurants. Parker Steak & Scotch is amazing! There are ...Read More
a lot of parks in the town, walking trails. Houses are the typical colonial. You have the Trumbull Mall, but I couldn't tell you the last time I was there. I don't do my grocery shopping in Trumbull because there is only 1 grocery store, Stop & Shop, and they are overpriced and not an American owned company. You pay a fire tax and the best part is that the people that run the tax aren't even in this state!! The mailing address is in Massachusetts. The fire tax is completely seperate from your town's taxes. You have a water usage bill, which is based off of your Aquarion bill. You pay for your garbage company. You have two to choose from. Both the same price, breaks down to $58 every 3 months. I call it an a-la-carte town. Actually looking to move and get out of CT all together!!!

Trumbull is a very small town that is extremely expensive to live in. The school systems are amazing and it is very friendly. It is in a nice location if you need to commute. But, there is absolutely nothing to do when you live in Trumbull. There are not any amazing restaurants, ...Read More
or places to shop. We have one mall that is good but the Danbury one is better. There is absolutely no night life or anything to do once you get into high school and older. I have grown up here and decided to stay here with my family because of the great school systems. It’s very quiet, and is the true definition of the suburbs. If you’re looking to raise your family in a town with a great education system this would be it. If you’re looking for a fun town to live in that is affordable, look elsewhere.

also find quiet neighborhoods where families dwell and open parks that you can readily access. The nightlife and restaurants are a little sparse, but with its close proximity to larger cities, you'll find a lot of nearby options that are only a few minutes away. Trumbull is also very conveniently located to a number of major roadways making getting around a breeze. essentially, its a quiet town within minutes of activity.
The best part of living in Trumbull is that if offers the opportunity to have quiet time outside of the hustle and bustle of the city, but is also close enough to major cities that you will not get bored.
