Troy also has many elegant restaurants and upscale busin ...Read More esses to offer for Michiganders. In Troy, you will likely encounter some of the wealthiest people in Michigan. The Somerset Collection is also the "it" shopping place for celebrities and musicians in Michigan. With stores like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, and Neiman Marcus, you can see just how expensive this shopping center can get!

While the city of Troy offers great shopping experiences, it is also one of the safest cities in Michigan. Located near Detroit, Troy does have some crime that spills over from the troubled city. Although burglaries are not all that common in Troy, its better to be safe that sorry. So, just be aware of your surroundings and you should be fine.

Overall, Troy has a bit of that Detroit culture that is part of every Michigander. It is a pleasant place to visit, just be aware of your surroundings! Read Less
