Sylacauga is a small town located in Talladega County. It's iconic for its white Marble Bedrock, where many tourists and locals including myself, find it to be quite interesting and historic. The city supports manufacturing and retail industries in the job market.
Presently, four schools make up the school district, Indian Valley Elementary, Pine Crest Elementary, Nicholas-Lawson Middle and Sylacauga High. There are three major highways that provides entrance and exit capabilities throughout the city.
There is a variety of attractions and amenities that offer outdoor activities, such as Noble Park which provides residents and visitors playground, picnic and grill areas as well as quarter-mile running track for those who love to jog and stay in shape. In addition, one will also enjoy the skate park, the cities pools are converted to indoor pools during winter months. I moved here because I adore the outdoor activities. Lake Howard has a host of areas for boating fishing, and pavilions. There is also the Skyward Trail that features hiking and mountain-biking trails throughout the National Forest.
Overall, the weather is hot, humid, but usually mild during the winter. If you're seeking a warm peaceful place to live this is certainly a fantastic place to be!
