Living in Swansea has been an interesting experience. I moved from city to city as a kid, and wanted to slow things down a little, so moved to Swansea. The village is tiny, but peaceful. There isn't a whole lot of things to do here, which leaves me feeling restless at times. When the antsy feeling grows severe, I either drive to the relatively nearby city of Saint Louis, or I take a stroll through the village streets. The atmosphere of the place really is calming, if you can wrap your head around having to make your own entertainment.
The best areas in Swansea to have some downtime have got to be the restaurants. The Swansea Fish Stand is a good one, that offers mouth-watering seafood that always turns a crappy day into a good one. We also have a few typical fast food places, like Jack in the Box. Quick craving busters is what I like to call those places.
