The sad part is the majority of cities in South carolina aren’t much different. Now if you want to enjoy south carolina to pretty much any city in greenville county. I visited the area after graduating college for a business trip, and it was nothing but pleasant. There aren't as many large businesses as you might find in other c ...Read More ities, but highways like 401 and 378 take you to the cities that have numerous job opportunities.

While walking around the town, I noticed that there are quite a few parks. People enjoy sitting outside on their porches or on park benches to take in the sights and the sounds of nature. Manchester State Forest is a beautiful area to explore with trails for the novice and those who are a bit more seasoned at hiking. I enjoyed walking my dog in some of the parks while living in Sumter for a short time because my hometown doesn't have many opportunities like that. The school system in Sumter seems like it's above-average with buildings that appear to be almost new and teachers who seem to truly care about the students. Read Less
