I’m so glad I was wrong. When my family discovered Sterling, we couldn’t have been more happy. We work in Washington, D.C. and we didn’t want ...Read More to raise our children there. While we love the city, it’s definitely a busy, hectic place and we found ourselves craving a bit of quiet after a long day of dealing with traffic and tourists.

Sterling is the perfect solution. It’s about a 45 minute drive to D.C. but it doesn’t feel anything like the city. It’s a smaller suburb, but has plenty of good shopping centers and recreation options. The area is really clean and the restaurants are actually really nice! There are a number of parks which are fantastic to walk around and we’ve never really seen much crime. There are a few houses that should be upgraded, and a few areas that aren’t as “nice” as others, but that’s par for the course in any city. Read Less
