St Matthews, KY: Nice To Live In But Boring! 3 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Living in St. Matthews is a boring existence! The best areas in the Louisville Metro area are the shopping malls, so you better be into shopping because there isn't much else to do! We do have the 4th and 5th largest shopping malls in the state, but we also have some pretty sorry ...Read More schools (high dropout rate and low grad rate), a crime rate that is already high and getting worse instead of better, some decent jobs, and the weather is pretty ok but it can be unpredictable.

As far as entertainment goes, we are close to the Louisville Mega cavern where you can go ziplining or go on tours of the caverns. We have the Kentucky Bourbon Boys Tour that takes you through the two distilleries and gives you a lot of history and information on bourbon and how it came to the area. Cherokee Park is a good place to go hiking, and Malibu Jack's Louisville has some fun games, laser tag, go karts and good food. Read Less
