A City of Mountains User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) St. Mary's is a small rural town located in Elk County, Pennsylvania. It's famous for its astonishing mountains. It's a countryside urban atmosphere, a non-diversified town with plenty of local public/private schools and community churches nearby. The cost of living is affordable ...Read More , the average income is $48,000 and the median home value is about $108,000. I've been here for five years now and I have to say my family and love living in this community

Winters are cold, but fun and exciting, we look forward to the snow every year. Snowstorms here can produce up to 57 inches of snow. Summers are comfortable, it's the perfect weather for barbecues and family picnics. Rainstorms are fair, it rains about 44 inches a year.

The attractions are also endless, we enjoy the theatres, camp sites, shopping centers, theme parks, restaurants and aquariums. Our favorite family spot is Elk County Historical Society in Ridgway. This museum features an array of collections of historical artifacts related to history. Read Less
