I really enjoy living in St. James, New York. My community is a hamlet that is actually part of a larger town called Smithtown. Located on the north shore of Long Island, the only issue with living here is that the cost of living is quite high.

s in this little hamlet. The neighbors are always friendly and there always seems to be small community events happenings throughout the year. There is a lot of history to be found in this town and local residents that have been here their entire lives, are always ready to share a story of how life used to be.
The best areas in St. James, New York include the local beaches. There is a local beach located on the Long Island Sound and you can also take a quick trip to beaches that border the Atlantic Ocean. The area schools have a great reputation, if you have kids. Overall, just a nice place to live.
