Living here the past 18 months, finding we are driving to Orlando/Kissimmee for just about everything. ($150/month in tolls). Very few big box stores in the area, very few sit down nice restaurants, but tons of fast food and drive throughs. Many roads are still 2 lanes, it takes ...Read More
about 15 minutes just to get out of my subdivisions any weekday before 10am. Osceola county needs to create more roads before they build more homes. Residential areas that are not newer are run down with lack of pride in home ownership. Plus side-just 30 minutes from Disney & Universal once on the turnpike.

I just recently moved to St. Cloud, FL; and I love it here. Although it gets confused with Kissimmee and Orlando, St. Cloud is more homey and a great suburban area to raise a family. My family and I have been here for a year and love the fact that we can enjoy the calmness of our ...Read More
community; and not deal with the hustle and bustle of Orlando and Kissimmee from the theme parks and vacationers. Another great feature is that if needed, we have easy access to the major airport.
Some of the neat things for family to get into include the Reptile World Serpentarium and the historical side of St. Cloud. My family and I often go through the Main Street area and reminisce of the olden days. Main Street is like going back in time, it is a great way to encourage your children to learn more about history. Another great feature of the city is its location, the East Lake Tohopekaliga is great for a family outing.
The unique stores are great for Saturday morning shopping. If you are into antiquing, St. Cloud has a lot to offer. Besides shopping and the exciting things to do in St. Cloud; I have really enjoyed going out to eat with my family. There are so many different types of delicacies to choose from, your stomach and head will spin. We really love eating at Crabby Bills; you have a great view, sometimes entertainment, and great food. Everyone should get a chance to enjoy this wonderful city.
