Growing with growing pains User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jan 25, 2019) Moved here from CA and it wasn't too crowded at first...now it seems like the local government will say "yes" to anyone who wants to build. There's traffic, congestion and construction everywhere you go in this town. They have a lot of new communities where you can high-five your ...Read More neighbor from your bedroom window. Seriously, they are packing them in like sardines here.. A lot of us are transplants. The locals for the most part are nice. The Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and local drivers are the worst. It's like they're doing the "Birdbox Challenge" to see how fast they can go while driving everyone else off the road (extreme but quite close). One thing that does bother me besides the horrible drivers, is the fact that the state has beautiful land and wildlife. But you can tell they have no clue as to how to take care of it or appreciate it. There's trash all over the roads- from mattresses to peoples trash bags. They have a huge rock quarry that during the hot summer, dry and windy days blows dust everywhere making the air quality awful and I found SEVERAL Monsanto Chemical Lakes near Spring Hill and "Columbia." Google shows the Spring Hill one as "Mansanto" which may be on purpose, who knows. Either way- they couldn't care any less about the environment and it's all about capitalizing on the money coming from us saps moving here. Spring Hill has new, decent restaurants but they have way too many fast food options. The roads are awful and instead of widening most of the roads they just repave them. It's like they don't understand that it's hard to drive on a skinny, 2 lane road with huge school buses and construction trucks and again, the crazy drivers. With all the people moving here and tax they collect, you would think they'd invest in more traffic lights too. Besides that, it's not a bad town. It's cheaper than Franklin for home costs, but sales taxes are high and for the quality of the services they offer, they are often over priced. Read Less
Spring Hill: Tennessee's Best Small City User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) Living in Spring Hill for the last couple years has been great. What I like most about the city is that it feels more like a small town. The people are very friendly and you're close enough to Nashville that you can hop in your car and head there for an afternoon whenever you ple ...Read More ase.

Living here is very affordable, especially if you rent an apartment. The job market also seems to be pretty good as well because I didn't have much difficulty finding a job when I first moved here. Having a car, or a bike in my case is very important because there isn't any public transportation available besides Uber.

There are a couple public parks in the center of the city which are definitely the best areas in Spring Hill, in my opinion. The summers don't get too hot, so you'll be able to get a lot of fresh and exercise when the weather's nice. Read Less
