Keeping the Mind Occupied User Rating 3 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 17, 2015) After living in Florida for the first part of my life, I moved to Southaven when I was 25. The area is completely different as I am accustomed to going to the beach every day and relaxing in the sun. Now, I see tall buildings when I look out my window and hear cars driving by my ...Read More house at all hours of the day. While there are some things that are different, there are several things that I enjoy about the city.

There aren't a lot of large attractions in the city, and if you like shopping, then you will be disappointed. There are a few museums, and the downtown area is ideal for those who like walking from one store to another. Most of the restaurants that I have been to serve comfort foods. It's not uncommon to get a steak that fills your plate or a large bowl of mashed potatoes or macaroni and cheese.

One of my favorite places to go is Central Park. This is a park where I can take my dog to go walk or spend some time sitting under a big tree while reading a book. There's a good sized playground and picnic area and several walking trails. I have noticed that people in this town like movies. There are more movie theaters it seems than anything else, and if you look on the corner of almost every block, you can usually find either a video store of a Red Box to rent a movie. The town itself isn't bad. I haven't had any issues with the people who live in my neighborhood, but there just isn't anything to do here.
