Great place to raise a family 4 rating By Anonymous ( Sep 08, 2018) Moved here from living in Portland. What a difference! Less crime and more community feel. So you can't walk to 20 bars or places to eat. But you also don't have drunk people walking by your house at 2am or have your house tagged every month like Portland. An Average City 3 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) Living in South Portland, ME I get to experience all four seasons. The winters are very cold and covered in snow. The Summers are warm and sunny. Autumn and spring offer cool temps and beautiful views.

This city offers the basics of what you would expect anywhere; a library, a variety of restaurants to eat, and a few other amenities, but there is not much of a night life or major attraction. The best places, in my opinion, to visit are the yoga studio and a few parks that I enjoy spending my free time visiting.

South Portland, ME is an average city to live in. It is a little pricey to live here, but I have noticed that there is not a lot of crime. I definitely appreciate that and don't mind paying a little extra to feel safe when I walk out my door. Read Less
