Meet me at the Races in South Laurel 3 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) South Laurel is located next to a couple of Maryland's major highways that run from Baltimore to Washington D.C. and through other areas of the state. As such, it's easy to commute to other cities like Annapolis and Baltimore for work or pleasure.

For people who don't get out mu ...Read More ch or not into driving, South Laurel offers decent shopping and many restaurants to choose from. They include popular restaurants such as Olive Garden, as well as local favorites like Sardi's. Living in South Laurel provides a good mix of city life and suburbia, with some of the best areas out by a well known racetrack at Laurel Park. This is one of the area's landmarks, as it's been around since 1911.

There's a lot of diversity so you will come in contact with people from different backgrounds and learn different cultures. Overall the town of South Laurel is quiet and easy on the senses. Most of the areas where you will find a crowd or any level of noise are shopping malls or areas where people congregate for parties or a few drinks. Although not the most happening of places, there is a bit of nightlife at the town's bars, pool halls, and clubs. Read Less
