The Views of South Lake Tahoe 5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) I've lived at or near Lake Tahoe for most of my life and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. The beauty and serenity the area brings cannot be beat. The sights of the crystal clear blue lake in the summer and snow-covered mountains are what people travel from around the world to ...Read More see.

This is a great place to live or visit if you enjoy the outdoors. In the winters there are a number of resorts to choose from to snowboard or ski at. Once the snow has melted there are beautiful trails everywhere to hike and mountain bike. When temperatures get warmer in the summer the lake provides hours of enjoyment.

One nice thing about South Lake Tahoe, is that everything a person needs is in the area. There are ample places to shop and a number of delicious, local restaurants to enjoy in the area. If you need to go to a bigger city, there are a few to choose from. Reno, Nevada is a short one-hour drive and Sacramento is a two-hour drive. Read Less
