I wish I had found South Bradenton, Florida sooner, I can not rave about this little slice of paradise enough. We are west of I75, steps from the white sands of the Gulf of Mexico. The barrier islands, Longboat Key especially, is a place you have to see to believe. The water is stunning, beaches quiet, and food exceptional.
On the weekends, we can drive a few miles north to Tampa, or south to Naples, and choose from hundreds of incredible restaurants. The best areas of South Bradenton include tropical zoos, white-sand beaches, and outdoor malls like Saint Armands Circle. There are countless back roads to keep far from where the tourist traps are off the interstate.
Living in South Bradenton, FL, I get to enjoy sunny and warm weather most of the year. If we are not swimming in the pool or playing at the beaches, we can go sailing, snorkeling, or riding our bikes on the quiet trails from Sarasota to Anna Maria Island.
