So Much to do in Sioux City, IA 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jul 23, 2010) My husband and I have spent several long weekends in Sioux City, IA. I am a big fan of the area and all of the different entertainment choices and attractions the city offers. We have stayed at the downtown Holiday Inn and the Hilton Garden Inn. Both accommodations were nice and ...Read More offered many services and amenities from pools to onsite restaurants. I especially appreciated the free cookies offered at the Hilton! Oh the little things. But we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotels because there is so much to do and see in Sioux City.

Finding something to do in Sioux City is not a problem. There are numerous museums, art galleries, parks, and sport and concert venues to check out. I loved the historic Fourth Street District which features many restored late 19th century commercial buildings. The area has numerous specialty shops, antique stores, pubs and restaurants. My husband much preferred the riverboat casino and exploring the city parks. We both enjoyed visiting the Sergeant Floyd River Museum and the free admission at the Sioux City Public Museum. The public museum is in late entrepreneur John Pierce's mansion and features displays of frontier and Native American history. There is even a log cabin on site.

We enjoy exploring local places and Sioux City is one of our top destinations! Read Less
