We chanced upon this place a few years ago and I couldn't be happier. We have so much close by and yet don't have the traffic of Plainfield and other areas up north. We are in the older area so the property taxes are lower and we have all this lovely nature around us. There are a lot of community events as well as being super close to Joliet and Plainfields. I know there is some expansion planned for the coming years so hopefully it only improves on this lovely town.

Shorewood is a quaint Village with many places to shop and numerous restaurants. It has beautiful open areas, including forest preserves, dog parks, and walking and bike trails. Plainfield and Naperville are only minutes away, and downtown Chicago is an hour drive. Shorewood has something for everyone with single family homes, 55 and older communities and assisted living. I feel Shorewood is a safe place to live and I love the quiet lifestyle and friendly people.
