You Will Get Rained On In Shoreline, Washington User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( Mar 23, 2012) As a resident of Shoreline, Washington, I would recommend relocating to this growing metropolis. The city is just 9-10 miles from Seattle. Therefore, we have access to landmarks such as the Space Needle and Pike Place Market along with internationally recognized dining establishm ...Read More ents. Fortunately, Shoreline offers its residents delicious dining as well with cafes such as La Palma Family Mexican Restaurant and Sparta's Pizza.

Parents with young children will enjoy raising their children in Shoreline as the community offers cozy neighborhoods with traditional single family homes. However, there are plenty of condominiums for sale and rent, which will appeal to young single people. During the weekends, I'm able to spend time outdoors and enjoy hiking along the city's many nature trails.

Richmond Beach Saltwater Park is just five minutes away, and I often spend time there with my friends and family enjoying a picnic or playing Frisbee. When we gather together for a beach day, we always stay long enough to watch the sun sink into the ocean, which is a wondrous and beautiful sight. Also, we are fortunate to have numerous parks and recreation areas such as tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool and cycling trails.

Parents who enjoy teaching their children about the past can visit the Historical Museum while the Kruckeberg Botanic Garden will give parents access to our area's natural foliage along with unique plant life.

I have to bundle up in the winter as temperatures often drop to 35 degrees Fahrenheit, and some years it feels as though winter will never end. However, once spring arrives, Shoreline warms up, and we have pleasant temperatures again. Our little city receives plenty of precipitation, so you'll need to invest in quality rain gear. I have lived in Shoreline for 15 years and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Read Less
