The Don Gibson Theater is a great place in Shelby to catch a great movie, and ...Read More there are lots of great restaurants nearby so you can catch a bite to eat before or after the movies. Shelby City Park is another ideal attraction, since you can spend time outdoors. There is a walking trail and plenty of areas for a picnic to make the day more memorable.

Owl's Eye Vineyard and Winery is a popular location in Shelby as well, and makes the perfect outing with friends with you want to sample quality wines and learn more about how wine is made. When you want to learn more about the history of Shelby, take a trip to the Earl Scruggs Center to see fascinating exhibits and artifacts. Read Less
