Shelby for its amazing privacy and close proximity to Rochester Hills.
The city of Shelby is located right near Rochester Hills, which offers some great shopping and a vibrant downtown. Shelby is also home to some of the best blue ribbon public schools in the state of Michigan. While I attended one of the private schools in Shelby growing up, many of my friends attended some of the public schools in Shelby. They all had great experiences and ended up going off to great colleges. One of my friends is even a medical school student now!
Overall, Shelby is the perfect place to raise a family in Michigan. Communities in Shelby tend to be close knit, however, so be prepared to find a group of friends and stick with them for the next few years. It is an all around great place to live and will always be a great place for kids.
