Seven Oaks, A Beautiful Town Near The Lake And Zoo 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) Seven Oaks, SC is a comfortable community just outside of Columbia, resting in the trees and gentle slopes of inland South Carolina.

For me, it was a great way to enjoy the grace and culture of the built-up South without struggling through the traffic of Columbia proper. I can ...Read More 't stand dealing with traffic for every single hour of my work and entertainment time, so smaller towns outside of job sites and long-term contracts are a must.

Living in Seven Oaks gives you access to the beautiful Lake Murray with just a few minutes of driving. Yacht Cove is just 14 minutes away, and there's plenty of coast within a 30-minute drive if you want a better vantage point.

The best areas in Seven Oaks are near the lake, and then along I-126 heading towards Columbia. Riverbanks Zoo is just before you get to Columbia proper, which is where I had my first childhood memories of seeing exotic animals up close.

A lot of the better restaurants of Seven Oaks are closer to the center of town, near Harbison State Forest. Read Less
